Mrs. Burch's Weekly Update (3/22)

Happy Friday!! Next week is Spring Break! There is NO SCHOOL March 25-29! School resumes April 1.

Don't forget to order a Yearbook! They're $7. Students will ONLY receive a yearbook if one is ordered by parents online!! The Yearbook ID Code is 12174924.

⭐We are almost out of individually wrapped snacks for our classroom stash! MANY students are taking a snack from our stash every day. Please remind your child to bring a healthy snack of their own each day. The stash should be for once in awhile when they forget. 🙂 If you are interested in sending in any snacks, individually wrapped goldfish, pretzels, fruit snacks, skinny pop, and granola bars are all great choices!

Please make sure your kiddos have a coat and/or sweatshirt! Our classroom is often chilly and it's usually chilly in the morning for recess. Students are expected to wear their coats if it is less than 50 degrees. We go to morning recess at 9:30 and it's definitely chilly! Please make sure students have coats until it's consistently over 50. Thank you!!

Mrs. Burch's Weekly Update (3/15)

We had a great week! Next week Mrs. Deurloo is having a used book sale in the library. All books are 25 cents! Send money Wednesday if you would like your child to shop during our library time.

Mrs. Burch's Weekly Update (3/8)

Happy Friday! Students received their March book orders this week! Please make sure all orders are submitted online by noon on Monday, March 11. Order on our class page!

Next week is going to be a busy week! 

*Tuesday, March 12, is our Field Trip to see Frog and Toad at the Community Theater of Howell! Students will need to bring a sack lunch that day, because we will be eating in our classroom before we go to the show! Chaperones for this trip are Mrs. Huntoon, Mrs. Harrington, and Mrs. Shaw. We will be leaving school at 11am and should return about 1pm. Students may bring an extra snack for the afternoon that day if they would like, since we're eating lunch early.

*Wednesday, March 13, is a Late Start Day! School begins at 10:15am.

*Thursday, March 14, are our spring conferences. I have reached out to parents if I needed to schedule a spring conference. If you haven't heard from me but would like to meet, please let me know. 

Our Spring Reading Fundraiser has begun! Students will help our reading caterpillar, Hutch, grow this spring with their reading minutes! Take a look at the flyer sent home last week for donation and reading specifics!

Happy Leap Day! 🐸 We've had a great week so far! I'm posting the update early to remind you that I will be out of the classroom today through Tuesday.
