Mrs. Burch's Weekly Update (4/19)

Happy Friday! 

A Few Reminders:

The Spring Reading Fundraiser is going strong! PLEASE MAKE SURE TO FILL OUT THE GOOGLE FORM BELOW FOR MINUTES READ AT HOME! I will take care of reporting minutes read at school. There are individual and class prizes, so your kiddos are expected to be reading at BOTH home and school! See the updated standings HERE! Thank you for your support of this fundraiser! :)

Please make sure your kiddos have a coat and/or sweatshirt! Our classroom is often chilly and it's usually chilly in the morning for recess. Students are expected to wear their coats outside if it is less than 50 degrees. We go to morning recess at 9:30am and it's definitely chilly!

Mrs. Burch's Weekly Update (4/12)

TGIF! It's been a fun week! The kids did so awesome last night! I loved watching the videos of their songs! They were so cute!!


Make sure to order your Original Works! Information came home this week in your child's folder. This is a fundraiser, so Hutchings will receive money back on the items you purchase! I loved giving the Original Works as gifts for Mother's and Father's Day when my kiddos were here! Grandparents LOVE them!!

Mrs. Burch's Weekly Update (4/5)

Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a nice spring break last week! I enjoyed a cruise with my family for my son's senior trip! It was a blast! ☀️

🎶 Our 2nd graders have a concert next week! Your kiddos need to be lined up next to their lockers by 6:50pm. Ms. Bertolin will be here to walk them down. (I have a prior commitment that evening.) Please see the note below from Mrs. Shultz for more info!

Mrs. Burch's Weekly Update (3/22)

Happy Friday!! Next week is Spring Break! There is NO SCHOOL March 25-29! School resumes April 1.

Don't forget to order a Yearbook! They're $7. Students will ONLY receive a yearbook if one is ordered by parents online!! The Yearbook ID Code is 12174924.

⭐We are almost out of individually wrapped snacks for our classroom stash! MANY students are taking a snack from our stash every day. Please remind your child to bring a healthy snack of their own each day. The stash should be for once in awhile when they forget. 🙂 If you are interested in sending in any snacks, individually wrapped goldfish, pretzels, fruit snacks, skinny pop, and granola bars are all great choices!

We had a great week! Next week Mrs. Deurloo is having a used book sale in the library. All books are 25 cents! Send money Wednesday if you would like your child to shop during our library time.

Mrs. Burch's Weekly Update (3/8)

Happy Friday! Students received their March book orders this week! Please make sure all orders are submitted online by noon on Monday, March 11. Order on our class page!

Next week is going to be a busy week! 

*Tuesday, March 12, is our Field Trip to see Frog and Toad at the Community Theater of Howell! Students will need to bring a sack lunch that day, because we will be eating in our classroom before we go to the show! Chaperones for this trip are Mrs. Huntoon, Mrs. Harrington, and Mrs. Shaw. We will be leaving school at 11am and should return about 1pm. Students may bring an extra snack for the afternoon that day if they would like, since we're eating lunch early.

*Wednesday, March 13, is a Late Start Day! School begins at 10:15am.

*Thursday, March 14, are our spring conferences. I have reached out to parents if I needed to schedule a spring conference. If you haven't heard from me but would like to meet, please let me know.

Happy Leap Day! 🐸 We've had a great week so far! I'm posting the update early to remind you that I will be out of the classroom today through Tuesday. You can message Ms. Bertolin on Seesaw or email (bertolinm@howellschools.com) with questions while I'm away. I will have limited access to Seesaw/email. Please contact the office if you need anything. I am confident that your kiddos will be in GREAT hands with Ms. Bertolin and Mrs. Olvin! 😊
