As we begin to enter November I wanted to remind everyone that Report Cards this year are going to be electronic and available through PowerSchool. Here is the link to set up your account if you have not yet done so. http://www.howellschools.com/parents/power_school I also wanted to send over the dates for Conferences which are November 8th and November 14th we look forward to seeing you there!
On a similar note about communication I have linked the Twitter account and Facebook account for the school and will share those resources here in this e-mail as well. One area I strongly believe in is quick communication on issues such as field trips, fire trucks at building, late busses and the alike. So much so that before I even started the position last year I wanted to set up a system focused specifically around updating the community as fast as possible. Twitter and Facebook are our two biggest sites for communication that can happen immediately. I can use Twitter and Facebook from the phone which is why it can happen in the immediate. Our twitter name is @hutchingele and our Facebook can be found by searching for Hutchings Elementary in the search bar of Facebook. Check us out for up to the second updates!
