Good afternoon, Husky Families,
We had such a wonderful Spirit Week last week, whose culminating event was incredible: the Howell Homecoming Parade! I am not sure I’ve been part of a school parade that felt so exciting and well-attended.

Come join us and run on the Cross Country middle school course. All students that will be in grades K-5 in the fall of 2026 are invited. We are hosting one race this year. The race course will cover a 1 mile loop of the Highlander Way/high school course. The course has a painted line to help get you to the finish. The top boys and top girls will receive medals (these numbers may be adjusted depending on the number of registrants). Coach Noble and Coach Brown (Highlander Way) and Coach McCall (Parker) would love to have you come out and experience what a Cross Country race is all about.
Feel free to contact Coach Noble - [email protected] / Kri[email protected] or Coach McCall - [email protected]. Elementary runners will be responsible for their own transportation to the race locations. The Combined Elementary race will take place on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026. PTO Updates

Howell Archery
Seeking students for an introductory archery club. Howell Public School students in 4th-12th grade are welcome to register and no experience is required. Students will learn the National Archery in Schools Program (NASP) format of archery. All archers must shoot with equipment provided: a standard Genesis Bow, full-length Easton 1820 arrows and 80 cm Targets. Archers may bring their own equipment to use, provided it meets the NASP guidelines.
Two sessions of Fall Club this year, broken up into NEW and RETURNING TEAM archers. This year, NEW archers are students that have NOT participated on the 2025/26 Archery Team. RETURNING archers are archers that DID participate on the 2025/26 Archery Team. Due to space limitations, students may only attend one session. Students will attend two nights per week for 1 hour per class.

Kindergarten Oral Health Assessments Coming to Our School
This school year, the Livingston County Health Department, in partnership with Smiles on Wheels, will offer free, optional oral health assessments for kindergarten students at our school. Michigan requires children to receive an oral health assessment before beginning kindergarten, and the program is designed to identify potential dental concerns early and connect families with care when needed. Additional information, including the date assessments will be offered and details about the screening process, will be shared as the scheduled date approaches. To learn more about the program, please visit https://bit.ly/4xcbgN7.
Finding the Right Person to Answer Your Questions
Throughout the school year, families may have questions or concerns and may not always know who to contact. To make communication easier, Howell Public Schools has a resource on the district website to help families connect with the staff member best suited to assist them. The page includes contact information and outlines the district’s recommended communication process, which typically begins with the staff member closest to the situation, such as a classroom teacher or program leader. This approach helps ensure questions and concerns can be addressed as quickly and effectively as possible. To view the resource, please visit https://bit.ly/4wojCjt.
