Dear Hutchings Community,
I don't want to spend too much time writing for this Hutchings Herald - I'm far more interested in spending the last moments of the year with your students! The most important thing I to share is that I am grateful to have partnered with you for another great year.
Our school community is a strong one, and you play an essential part in that equation. In the last month alone, I've seen you come out for a show-stopping field day, to chaperone trips, to attend student presentations, and to help our 5th graders bring closure to their time at Hutchings. Thank you.
For the next two weeks, our office team will be in the building before shutting things down for the bulk of summer. From June 12 until August 3, the office will be closed. I will check my email sporadically, too, in case anything comes up that requires assistance.
Personally, I am completing my fourth year (an entire presidential term!), and I still feel ambitious and hopeful that we'll grow stronger together. We'll keep bringing unforgettable opportunities to our Huskies together. I hope you have some fantastic summer adventures that I can hear about when we return!

As summer begins, we know families are looking for ways to keep kids engaged, supported, and connected. We have put together a helpful Summer Resource Guide filled with free and low-cost opportunities for families in areas such as reading and learning, parenting support, food assistance, emotional wellness, special concerns, and just-for-fun activities happening throughout the community.
We encourage all families to take a look and make use of the many wonderful resources available this summer. We hope this guide helps make your summer a fun, supported, and successful one for the whole family!
